Shift Supervisers / Senior Waitstaff

But in addition, we currently have a vacancy for someone with a proven track record in the hospitality sector who has that special something to lead a busy shift from the front, and who can stay calm under pressure. Duties will include:

  • Ensure excellent customer service and that guests are welcomed, receive prompt attention and leave The Pytchley having had a positive experience
  • Responsible for the smooth coordination of all elements of service: front-of-house, restaurant, bar and kitchen
  • Familiarise all staff with the Pytchley food offer, and implement consistency in quality and presentation
  • Take booking enquiries for hotel guests, and supervise the welcome and check-in of hotel guests and ensure their requests are met and expectations exceeded
  • Manage and motivate your team by organising the shift and designating duties
  • Oversee the performance, punctuality and appearance of all FoH staff on your shift
  • Coherent allocation and turn-round of tables to maximise efficiency
  • Stock control and rotation - ordering of beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks, some catering goods and groceries
  • Ensure that company Health & Safety, Food Safety and Fire Regulation policies are strictly enforced
  • Would suit a hospitality or catering professional with previous experience in the restaurant or hotel industry looking to make the next step towards Duty Management.

In addition we are seeking hard-working team-players to join our busy kitchen:

Kitchen Porters - part-time

Duties include washing-up pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, stacking and unloading commercial dishwasher, cleaning food preparation areas and equipment, cleaning and sanitising all work surfaces, walls and kitchen flooring.

Experience not necessary, as full training will be given.

Hours for all positions are negotiable and where possible can be agreed to suit your individual circumstances, but will include some weekend and evening shifts. Latest finishing time is 11pm.

A competitive rates of pay is on offer, a meal is provided for every shift worked. Working at The Pytchley offers genuine opportunities for in-house and external training and promotion for those wishing to further their career.
